PTTEP – Zawtika Project

Process Group was recently awarded 2 separate contracts by SMOE for the design and fabrication of a Produced Water Treatment Package and a Fuel Gas Package for PTTEPI's Zawtika Project, located offshore Myanmar.

Produced Water Treatment:

The Produced Water Treatment Package contains 3 discrete treatment processes (to remove sand and then oil, with additional upstream separator online sand flushing) and is designed to handle a maximum capacity of 22,000 BPD.

The produced water will be firstly processed via multiple Desander Hydrocyclones to removed 99% of solids greater than 10micron, before further processing via CYCLONIXX ® Deoiler Hydrocyclone technology and IGF/DGF system to reduce the Oil-in-Water (OIW) concentration from ~2000ppm at the inlet down to <40ppm.

Through the inclusion of an API-610 recirculation pump loop, the Client is also able to flush out and remove built up sand from the upstream Separator, while production remains online. Produced water is used as the flushing fluid and the sandy-water stream will be processed in the Produced Water treatment package which will be designed to allow for elevated sand levels.

The package will utilise Process Group’s proprietary TUNGSTONE ® premium Desander Cyclone range, which includes Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide material to provide extreme wear resistance.

Fuel Gas

The Fuel Gas Package is designed to process a total of 23MMscfd of natural gas.  The process is a 2 stage process incorporating both pressure control and providing super-heat for the fuel gas to the compressors.  This package also incorporates filter/coalescers as well as a large scrubber vessel designed to provide a fuel ‘buffer’ for the compressor to facilitate upset change-over.

Project Execution:

Both packages are being designed and executed out of Process Group’s Singapore office, with local fabrication in Singapore. Delivery for both packages is scheduled for early 2013.
